A '76 Les Paul in the rarer Wine finish. This guitar was bought new in 1976 by Leo Sayer for his guitarist Les Nicol. The band immediately toured the USA promoting Leo's 'Endless Flight' album and there is a clip of Les using the guitar with Leo on You Tube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HncxuDHdyw).
This is a great sounding Paul despite playing wear and a few parts changes. It has been fitted with Schaller tuners. The front pickup appears to be from a 1978 Les Paul Custom although it has a chrome cover. One of the volume pots has been replaced some time later. Barring these few alterations this guitar is otherwise original and plays very well indeed. It has a fair bit of playing wear to the back of the body but this just adds to the mojo of a 40+ year old guitar. It comes with its original hardshell case which is 2-tone black and Gaffa.
